Uncle Ned follows Mandie around and helps get her out of trouble her many adventures. The Mandie books are fun Christian mysteries for children, but I still love reading them.

Mandie and the Foreign Spies (Mandie, #15) by Lois Gladys Leppard

Mandie the main character who was born in 1888 is a smart, half Native American girl who lives in North Carolina and is orphaned in the first novel. Mandie and Celia actually intelligently escape. I recall- fondly and as though it were yesterday- my glee when Mandie went off to Europe, my disgust at the new baby, my delight in Mandie's wardrobe of sky blue frocks, my puzzlement at all her near escapes and handy school vacations, my terror during the daring midnight adventures.

He is said to have had red hair and blue eyes, and to be very fun loving and always looked out for Mandie. The setting is mostly in in the early 20th century, although Mandie and her friends travel to, and throughout the series.

Mandie comes home worried, she hasn't told Grandmother Taft about Jonathan and his father's plan to come as well. Then one night before everyone arrives a package for Mandie comes. Mandie and Joe's Christmas Surprise 1995• That leads to probably my favorite part of this book: the ending. Mandie and the Quilt Mystery 2002• So it Mandie and the Unwanted Gift (Mandie Books (Sagebursh)) not shock me.

We even get a short kidnapping scene towards the end! Anyway, she fails to tell either of the two of the Guyers' arrival what a shock and this creates quite a dramatic adventure. Taft be angry with Mandie because she doesn't get along with Mr. It also made me mad that it wasn't just a prank.
